Kurtopia HyperGrid Travel Policy

In OpenSimulator, the HyperGrid (HG) is a feature that enables users to travel seamlessly between different virtual worlds (ie grids). It allows for the interconnection of various OpenSim-based virtual worlds, letting users move their avatars, assets, and experiences from one grid to another as if they were all part of the same virtual universe.

Not all external worlds may be HyperGrid enabled, and some may only allow visitors from specific worlds. As HG worlds are outside of Kurtopia, they will have specific Rules and Policies that visitors must follow.

HyperGrid travel is a valued privilege extended to members of the Kurtopia community. To ensure continued access and maintain our reputation, all residents are expected to adhere to the following guidelines when visiting external grids:

  • Respect the Privilege
    HyperGrid access is a benefit provided to Kurtopians. It must be used responsibly and in accordance with community standards.
  • Accountability for Conduct
    Reports of misconduct during HyperGrid travel will be investigated. Serious violations may result in suspension or termination of your Kurtopia account.
  • Appropriate Attire Required
    Residents must be suitably dressed when traveling. Nudity is permitted only if explicitly acceptable in the destination world. Always verify local norms before arrival.
  • Avatar Age Restrictions
    Some external grids do not permit Teen avatars. Please ensure your avatar’s appearance complies with the destination grid’s policies.
  • Community Representation
    While traveling via HyperGrid, you are identified as a resident of Kurtopia and serve as an ambassador of our community. Any inappropriate behavior or violation of local rules may result in Kurtopia being restricted or banned from that grid.
  • Protect Our Reputation
    Actions that could damage Kurtopia’s reputation or relationships with other grids are strictly prohibited during HyperGrid travel.
  • Personal Responsibility
    Kurtopia is not liable for any incidents, losses, or disputes that occur while you are visiting external worlds.
  • Compliance with External Policies
    Each destination grid may have its own Rules and Terms of Service (TOS). It is your responsibility to review and comply with these policies.
  • Implied Agreement
    By entering an external world via HyperGrid, you acknowledge and agree to abide by its Terms of Service.
