Sponsorship Policy
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe, stable, and peaceful environment, all prospective members of our group are required to be sponsored by an existing member in good standing.
Sponsorship Requirements:
- Personal Knowledge: The sponsor must have known the applicant for a minimum of three (3) months.
- Meaningful Relationship: The sponsor must know the applicant well—casual acquaintances, short-term interactions, or general impressions are not sufficient.
- Character Assurance: The sponsor must be able to confirm, to the best of their ability, that the applicant is trustworthy, shares our values, and will make a positive and respectful contribution to our community.
The Role of the Sponsor
Sponsoring a member is a serious responsibility. By vouching for someone, you are putting your name forward in support of their character and potential to integrate into our group in a constructive and peaceful way. If you are uncertain, it is best to wait and allow the person more time to demonstrate their commitment and alignment with our community standards.
Do not sponsor someone just because:
- You have only recently met them.
- You’ve had a few good interactions.
- You feel they might be a good fit.
Let them earn the right to join through consistent and respectful participation over time.
Final Note
Our sponsorship requirement is in place to preserve the integrity and harmony of our group. It is one of the most important safeguards we have to ensure our members remain supportive, respectful, and engaged.
If you have any questions about this policy or are unsure whether someone meets the criteria, please consult with our admin team before proceeding.
